TUMOR QUIZ

A 13 year old boy had a painless, slowly growing mass on the back of his neck. Examination revealed a firm, non-tender 11cm by 6 cm mass centered just to the right side of the midline over the C7 vertebral level. There was no sinificant past medical history and the remainder of the work-up was unremarkable. Plain films of the cervical spine showed only the top of the lesion, and films of the cervico-thoracic junction were not obtained. The clinical appearance, a CT scan and multiple MR images are shown. A biopsy has been performed and the results are pending. What is your differential diagnosis?

CT axial MR T2 saggital MR T1
saggital MR T1 #2 side view preop
